Dr. Samuel Smith, Jr., is a native Stocktonian who, by the grace of God, is a servant of the people where he met the Lord.  Dr. Smith was Licensed and Ordained by his pastor, the late Dr. Henry F. Dean, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Dr. Smith is a well-respected, gifted man of God who preaches an uncompromising gospel of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He has faithfully led the people of God at the Emmanuel Baptist Church for 30 plus years. Dr. Smith is well qualified to do what God has called him to do, for he holds an Associate in Biblical Studies, a Bachelor in Theology, a Master in Theology, a Doctorate in Christian Counseling, a Ph.D. in Christian Education, and an ACI Teaching Credential.

Dr. Smith Is also a Seminary Professor and a blessing to the people of God.
